EXPLORER I (Ages 7–9) (10 campers per cabin)

The perfect start for young campers! Your camper will be introduced to unique world of camp and getting comfortable with an overnight summer camp experience.  Campers will explore traditional activities including canoeing, crafts, nature hikes and the ropes course. They will experience campfires, cookouts and chapel – all while learning new camp songs and games with their camp group and cabin leaders.

Bus transportation from Ottawa to Gracefield and back is available.

The perfect start for younger campers. During this shortened camp week, your camper will be introduced to the unique world of camp and getting comfortable with an overnight summer camp experience.

A high energy week of fun and games and camp-craft!

Canoeing, swimming, archery, chapel, campfires and cookouts and our new gaga ball court are all part of this week of play and learning. Your camper will be opened up to new experiences including nature challenges, fort building, creative activities and more. With cabin leaders and fellow campers, your camper will try out their new-found camp skills on an overnight wilderness camp at one of our designated tent sites.

MADD (music, art, drama & dance) CAMP (Ages 10–14)

A week for campers to express their creativity, be it through art, music, drama, dance, games and lots of laughter!

In addition to our ongoing camp activities, there will be art projects, jam sessions, improvised games and dance-offs. Campers are welcome to bring their own art supplies, notebooks, and instruments, if they feel comfortable having them at camp. The week will round out in a talent show to show off all the awesome things that were created at MADD camp.

SENIOR ADVENTURE CAMP (Ages 13–16)

For campers who love the outdoors!

This limited numbers camp is based out of our platform-tent equipped, Bruno’s wilderness site. Adventure campers will enjoy a relaxed and flexible schedule learning camping, canoeing, archery, fire building, and outdoor cooking skills. They will also work to achieve their Ontario Recreational Canoe and Kayak Association (ORCKA) certification levels. An overnight canoe trip gives campers a chance to use their new-found camp craft skills with their tight knit group.

Note – A third of their meals will be eaten in the dining hall, a third are takeaway from the dining hall and a third they will prepare themselves at the wilderness site.

CROSSROADS (Ages 14 -16)

An exciting week of making friends, participating in community, and trying new things!  This week of wilderness activities, crafts and special night-time events will culminate in the spirit of friendly competition during the “Gracefield Games” – a day-long event of camp craft, water events, relays, and logic puzzles. Designed specifically for Crossroads campers, the day will end in a final night celebration of the week’s achievements.

FAMILY CAMP – meals and accommodations are extra

Come enjoy the fun and fellowship of being at camp with your family!  Staff will lead traditional camp activities such as canoeing, archery, arts and crafts. Good food, a speaker and Sunday morning worship with the entire Gracefield community are all highlights of this long weekend family getaway. No bus transportation will be provided for Family Camp.

JUNIOR ADVENTURE (Ages 10-12)

For campers who want to try a bit of everything!

Campers will experience a wide range of what camp has to offer – cookouts, canoeing, nature activities, ropes course and archery, plus special team-building initiatives, crafts and evening events. With their cabin leaders and fellow campers, campers will get a chance to use all of their camp skills on an overnight wilderness camp at one of our designated tent sites.

LEADER-IN-TRAINING (LIT) (Ages 16–17)
>> July 7–August 2, 2019 | $1025*

The Leader-in-training program is an intensive 200-hour course spread over four weeks including a multi-day canoe trip and an internship on site at Gracefield Camp.  The course is a program of the Association des Camps du Quebec that covers a wide spectrum of leadership skill training which Gracefield augments with Christian camping content, worship and Bible study. Leaders-in-training receive instruction in: safety and risk management at camp; child development and leadership styles; camp skill development; games, archery, land navigation including outdoor living skills, hiking, swimming, Bible study, worship leadership, drama, music and ropes course; First Aid training,  wilderness practice scenarios  and canoe skill training through the Ontario Recreational Canoe and Kayak Association(ORCKA) program.

The LIT program contributes to the development of team building and out-tripping skills during the off-site multi-day canoe trip, internship with campers on-site covering all parts of camp from maintenance, to counselling, to kitchen, to administration. The LIT program is ideal youth looking for experiencing working with children, planning on becoming a lifeguard, or looking to bring their wilderness expertise up to the next level. The LIT program is a stepping stone to many opportunities in the world of camp and beyond.

In addition to the registration, the LIT program will involve an application process, interview and references.
