Summer Camp Packing List
Below you will find the packing lists for our Base Camps, Wilderness Camps, and LIT Program
What not to bring (All Camps)
Snacks/food / Drinks / Valuables / Cell phones / Electronics / Weapons / Unlabeled/Undocumented Medication / Perfumes/Body Spray
Base Camp Packing List
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Clothes for the week (including underwear, socks, shorts, t-shirts, long pants, and sweatshirts)
- Rain Jacket
- TWO pairs of closed-toed shoes (one pair that can get wet for swimming/canoeing; one pair that is suitable for running and climbing on a climbing wall
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Towel and swimsuit
- Sunscreen and insect repellent
- Hat and sunglasses
- Water bottle
- Flashlight or headlamp
- Any necessary medication in original packaging and clearly labeled with campers name and the dosage
- Any necessary personal items, such as glasses or hearing aids
- Optional items: books, journals, musical instruments, etc.
Wilderness Camp Packing List
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Travel pillow *
- Sleeping Pad *
- Day Pack (Small backpack)
- Clothes for the week (including quick-drying tops and bottoms, underwear, socks, and sweatshirts)
- Rain Jacket
- TWO pairs of closed-toed shoes (one pair that can get wet for swimming/canoeing; one pair that is suitable for running and climbing on a climbing wall
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Towel and Swimsuit
- Sunscreen and insect repellent
- Hat and sunglasses
- Water bottle
- Flashlight or headlamp
- Personal canoe equipment (PFD, paddle, dry bag, etc.)*
- Any necessary medication in original packaging and clearly labeled with campers name and the dosage
- Any necessary personal items, such as glasses or hearing aids
- Optional items: books, journals, musical instruments, etc.
*Not required, but recommended for the canoe trip. The camp will provide personal safety equipment for canoeing for anyone who can’t bring their own.
LIT Packing List
- Running shoes that can get dirty
- Boots (hiking/rain)
- Bug spray and sunscreen
- Raincoat
- Sun Hat or Ball cap and Sunglasses
- Water bottle
- Watch
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Day Pack (Small backpack)
- 2 towels (shower and beach)
- Toiletries (Stuff for a shower, toothbrush, deodorant, hairbrush etc.)
- Sandals (preferably with back strap)
- Clothes that can get paint on them
- Old Clothes for working in outdoor or dirty settings
- T-shirts
- Sweaters
- Socks and underwear
- “Nice” outfit
- 2 bathing suits
- Shorts (athletic, denim, swimming, etc.)
- Pants (comfort, jeans, sweats, etc.) including long pants for the woods
- Sleepwear/Pyjamas
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Travel pillow *
- Sleeping Pad *
- Single sheets and blanket (optional – for use on the mattresses in the cabin bunks)
- Laundry detergent
- Wallet/Money (for trips into town/tuck)
- Any necessary medication in original packaging and clearly labeled with campers name and the dosage
- Personal Canoe Equipment (PFD, paddle, dry bag, etc.)*
- Musical instrument (optional)
- Entertainment (e.g. books, craft material, journal)

During free time, LITs are free to use their electronic devices; however Gracefield is not liable for any stolen or lost items.
