Wilderness and Canoe Tripping Camps

For campers who love the outdoors and are looking for an adventure. Our wilderness camps provide a safe and fun way to learn all about the outdoors and what it has to offer. Canoe tripping offers life skills and a chance for campers to test their limits on an adventure. Campers will have the opportunity to learn to paddle, camp, and live in an outdoor setting while making friends along the way.

Adventure

Ages 10 – 12 / $575 / July 21 – July 26

For campers who love the outdoors! This camp is based at Bruno’s wilderness site on camp property. Adventure campers will enjoy a flexible schedule learning camping, canoeing, fire building, and outdoor cooking skills and join in camp favorites like archery, ropes course, wide games, and others. They will also work on paddling and tripping skills to help prepare them for an overnight canoe trip on our lake, Lac Castor Blanc, that gives campers a chance to use their camp-craft skills with their tight-knit group. Campers will also have the opportunity to go on a full-day canoe trip on the local Picanoc River. While there, they will experience low-level whitewater and learn how to paddle it safely. Meals will be split between eating in the dining hall with other campers and helping to prepare meals over the fire or camp stoves.

List price shown / Plus applicable taxes / Bus transportation from Ottawa to Gracefield and back is available at an additional cost of $40/person

Woodlander campers go on a multi-day canoe trip taking place away from the camp in the pristine wilderness of Quebec. On the trip, campers will have the opportunity to explore various locations such as waterfalls, caves, and islands. Campers may have the opportunity to learn how to scout and run low-level whitewater safely.
